Refrigeration and air conditioning systems require specific lubricants to ensure proper functionality and longevity. The choice of lubricant depends on the refrigerant type and system design, with common types including mineral oil (MO), polyol ester (POE), and alkylbenzene (AB), etc.

Mineral oil:

Mineral oil lubricants are designed for cost-effective fluids, to lubricate refrigeration and air conditioning compressors using CFC and HCFC refrigerants. Blue Sparrow mineral oil are featured for its low wax content, low pour point and high dielectric strength.

Polyol ester (POE):

Polyol ester oils are for use with HFCs in all refrigeration and air conditioning applications. Blue Sparrow POE lubricants are with several advantages such as excellent natural lubricity, low dilution, and feature excellent thermal and chemical stability with HCFC refrigerants. Complete miscibility at low temperatures assures lubricant return from flooded evaporators and better exchanger efficiency.

Alkylbenzene (AB):

Blue Sparrow Alkyl benzene oils are recommended for R-22 type fluid and HCFC mixtures. They provide improved lubrication at both high and low temperatures. These products exhibit reduced volatility, good chemical inertness, hydrolytic stability, and are compatible with mineral oils and equipment designed for use with mineral oils.
